After arriving from my native Australia, I realized that it constantly rains in Vancouver. Which is a stark contrast to Australia, being very hot and dry. The novelty of puddle jumping here in Vancouver far outweighed the practicality of having the appropriate rain gear to stay dry. After many days of getting soaked the novelty eventually lost its charm, I too began to dread the long grey rainy days. Determined to not let the weather get to me I purchased a pair of colorful gumboots ........ not only were they comfortable and practical they made me feel youthful again.
