Q. Is there something I should do to prolong the life of my rain boots?
A. Actually, yes! Never leave your boots in the sun or anyplace that is exceptionally warm, especially near heaters and radiators. Both of these things will cause the rubber to dry out and crack. And for those of you with kids that wear their rain boots daily, just know that they will wear out much more quickly as they are receiving some serious use.
Q. Why are there so many names for rain boots?
A. The traditional rain boot was worn and popularized by Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington and fashionable among the British aristocracy in the early 19th Century, hence the name “wellie”. However, many counties have adopted their own name for the traditional wellie. In Australia, New Zealand and South Africa they are called gumboots. In Canada and the US they are known as rubber boots or rain boots.
Q. Can I custom order rain boots in a specific style or size?
A. Unfortunately not. We have to commit to buying hundreds of pairs of one style of boot before the manufacturer will consider making them for us.
Q. I wear a half size. Should I order up or down in size?
A. That really depends upon the boot. You are best to go up a size. If your toes touch the end…you won’t be happy with the boot. However if you are really uncertain please feel free to contact us for more product details.
Q. When measuring my foot with different brands I am a different size, why is this?
A. Each brand of rain boot has their own manufacturer and sizing for the rain boots so this is why you will find a variance. We have personally measured each brand and you will find the approximate length for each brand and size. Q. Why aren’t there size 5, 11 or half sizes in all of your boots? A. That is an individual manufacturer decision. Most rain boots only come in whole sizes and many also only come in size 6 through 10, sometimes companies carry 5 or 11. If you are looking for small or larger sizes and need assistance please contact us

Q. Why aren’t there size 5, 11 or half sizes in all of your boots?
Q. You helped me choose a boot size and they don’t fit correctly.
A. Everyone’s feet are different and we can only guide you in picking the correct size. Some boots are narrower, some wider, some taller, some shorter. Since each person’s body, including their feet, are different, we can’t be 100% sure the size we assist you in choosing will fit perfectly. We do have measurement guides for many of our boots online. You are more than welcome to exchange your boots for a different size.
Q. Why doesn’t the color of some of your products on your website look exactly like the color of the actual product?
A. Sometimes the pictures we take or the color saturation on your computer may be at different levels.
